JINPAT Solution Snapshot: Ethernet Transmission Through a Robotic Rotary Interface

The application challenge

Robotic systems often combine stationary equipment with a rotating platform, arm section, tool, or sensing module. Data cables routed directly through that rotating point may face twisting and routing constraints as the equipment moves.

The connectivity approach

JINPAT capsule slip ring creates an electrical path between stationary and rotating structures. In this LPC configuration, the focus is Ethernet transmission for robotic applications.

The product configuration

- Engineering-plastic housing

- Two Gigabit Ethernet channels

- One 100 Mbps Ethernet channel

- M8 connectors at both ends

The integration perspective

The multiple Ethernet channels can help system designers organize network requirements within a rotating robotic module. The M8 connectors at both ends provide a connector-based installation interface, while the engineering-plastic housing forms the product’s external enclosure.

The outcome

The JINPAT LPC capsule slip ring gives robot designers a focused option when their rotating equipment needs more than a single Ethernet connection. It brings data-transmission requirements and mechanical movement into the same integration conversation.
